Fully booked for overnight & live-in dog sitting services for 2026

FAQ

What areas do you cover?

I cover Peterborough and the main surrounding towns/villages. If you are unsure on whether I cover your area just drop me a message.

How far in advance should I book?

I recommend providing as much notice as possible. Especially if you’re a new client. This allows plenty of time for a meet and greet and to book in for a trial walk or sit (if required) but most importantly, to avoid disappointment.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured, as well as DBS checked and qualified in canine first-aid.

Do I need to get a key cut?

It’s completely up to you, the majority of regular clients choose to get a key cut or have a key safe. If you wish to leave it in a safe place that’s fine, but I can’t be held responsible if it goes missing.

Can you handle my pet’s specific needs?

I have catered to pets of all ages, breeds, energy levels and so on over the years. Just let me know if your pet has any special requirements

What happens if there’s bad weather?

I will still walk your dog unless weather conditions are dangerous for your dog (e.g. heatwave, storms). In such cases, we’ll focus on indoor play and exercise.

Will I meet the sitter or walker beforehand?

Yes, I provide a free meet and greet service up to 30 minutes. This is to get to know your pet, ensure they feel comfortable around me and answer any questions you may have. If you require longer than 30 minutes so I can join you on a walk, etc. please let me know so I can book out extra time.

Will my pet have the same sitter/walker every time?

Yes, I pride myself on being the only walker/sitter at PE4 Pawsitting. If you require cover when I’m on holiday, or in a very rare case of extreme illness, I will do my absolute best to find a suitable replacement and ensure they are fully briefed on your pet’s needs.

How will I know my pet is okay while I’m away?

You’ll receive updates via text, email or our app (The PE4 Pet Pawtal), with photos and videos of your pet.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured, as well as DBS checked and qualified in canine first-aid.

What happens if there is an emergency with my pet?

You, and/or your emergency contact will be notified immediately. If necessary, your pet will be taken straight to your vet. Any treatment needed will not be agreed to without your permission first.

Can you train my dog?

Unfortunately not as I’m not a qualified dog trainer. However, if your dog is in training, I’m happy to follow positive / ethical instructions provided by your trainer.

**Please note dog walkers are not a cheaper alternative to dog trainers**

Do you walk dogs off lead?

No, dogs will never be let off lead no matter how good their recall is. This is for their own safety plus any other potential other dog walkers. If you want your dog to have a good run around please let me know and I can bring a secure long line.

Do you offer any additional services like watering plants or bringing in mail?

Yes, I’m more than happy to help with small tasks around your home, such as watering plants, bringing in the mail, putting out the bins, etc.

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept payments via cash or bank transfer. Full payment is due the day of your service start date.

Do you offer discounts?

I sometimes offer discounts for long term customers. If it’s just expected, I’m less likely to do it. At the end of the day it’s still my time, experience, fuel and so on.

Do you offer work experience?

At this moment in time, I am unable to offer placements for work experience.

Do you offer look after kids?

This last one is always a joke question, but I thought I’d include it just in case. Nope! I’m much better with fur children than real children, hence why I’m a dog mum instead of a hu-mum. Haha.
